So.....eventually I will get around to it and back track and put in all of my old blogs, just for the sake of organization. But for the moment, that isn't going to happen for a quick minute. Because when I do that, I'm also going to save all the blogs onto my computer so I have a record of them forever and ever and ever (in case I ever decide to do something with them.
The other day I was quite reminded of how I need to get a grown-up blog space and how some people don't even read blogs that are posted on myspace just because.
But no worries, I will update my myspace when I put up a new blog, there will just be a new link to hop over to.
In any case, here I am now. More adult for a wider variety in audience I suppose. I've got some things to work out and figure out about all of this jazz, but I'm not about to do it right this second. I have a drying off Marilyn on my lap who just drew all over her hand with pen. I have a passed-out Mallory on the mamasan amid a pile of clothes and 45 minutes before we have to leave the house for the day.
My week has finally slowed down just a tad bit. I still have a ton to do to keep up with the flow of things (laundry, assignments, dishes, etc. as usual) but atleast I have a second to take a breath.
Ah, Marilyn has the prettiest hair lately. It's getting thicker and has a curl to it. I can't lie and say that I'm not pleased that she has MY hair. She's pretty funny lately. She's got a lot more clarity to her speech so more things she says make sense. Plus she knows more about what she is talking about, and she knows how to try to get away with things too. She giggles when I brush her teeth.
But anyhow, classes are going well. Just a lot of work to keep on top of, but nothing impossible. My new environment class is pretty interesting. My Tuesdays are going to be my long days though. I will leave the house at 10:30, drop Marilyn off at daycare, go to Maelstrom, go to Chaucer class, go home, have an hour and a half to two hours to do whatever else I need to do, leave the house at 5:30, go to environment class and then leave there at 9:15ish and get home somewhere around 10. And then walk in and collapse into a useless lump on the couch for the next hour.
We're learning about breastfeeding and infant nutrition in my Child in the Family class, it is pretty interesting and yesterday I took in my boob gadgets (aka breast pumps) to show the class. The instructor is such a sweet lady but all of her stuff is a bit vintage. She brought in this battery opperated breastpump circa early 1990's and a lot of the videos we watch in both classes I have with her are all a little bit vintage. Don't get me wrong, they definitely work, a lot of the information hasn't changed. In my Family Relations class we watched this great movie called, "Couples Arguing" which was literally couples arguing. Quite entertaining and educational I will say.
But anyhow, life with two is turning out to be a lot better than I originally anticipated. Some days are crazy, but I'm getting it down. I've figured out how to semi-avoid that hour or so of screaming on Mallory's part every evening (she's tired and overstimulated and needs that extra little bit to keep calm) and Marilyn is such a great helper. She's been staying in her own bed in her own room for the past two nights, but goodness did I feel like the biggest meanie getting her back in there. Who would have thought though that my persistance would pay off and things would go back to being easy again?
Oh yeah, Malley's chocolate covered bacon is tasty, but not the best kind of tasty, but it is good. I'm not sure if I should finish off what we have left of it. I put it in the fridge but it was supposed to be finished by 10-18 and it isn't 10-18 anymore.
Hmmmmmm.....nothing else I can really think of. I have a full schedule for today but there is actually a little bit of wiggle room since it is Thursday and I have time to do things before I go to class.
I got my grad school application in yesterday! I ordered my transcripts! I paid for my Tri-C class! I got some etsy stuff shipped! I bought stamps! I did quite well yesterday.
But other than that, that's about it. Here's the new home for my blogs. Fun stuff. Hopefully I can customize it with robot dogs or something cool like that.
I love how she can say "Baby Bop" but she still won't call the baby Mallory. She's "sister" or "baby sister".
