It has been a long time since I have even had the time to think that I could keep up with this blog. I have another blog (http://pageswithpassion.blogspot.com) that is more like a personal reference for me to keep track of all of the cute children's books I come across that I really really like.
Anyhow, I received an anonymous comment today that kind of inspired me to keep up with this one just a bit better than I have been.
So here's the update.
Graduation Date: December 18 I will have my Master's in Library Information Sciences
This summer I came close to completely losing my sanity, but miraculously I emerged from the abyss with a bunch of A's and one lonely B (Cataloging nonsense which I have no innate talent or care for). But I made it through.
Right now I am just a whole bunch of busy. I have time right this minute because I just got off of work and I was taking some time before I pick up the girls to work on some of my school stuff uninterrupted (and plus if I go to pick them up now it will be sometime inbetween lunch and nap time and they still need to get their 5 hours in everyday...). But I'm not getting a whole lot of school stuff done right this second because obviously I'm writing this blog.
But yeah, me=busy lady. I'm doing my Practicum which is basically 100 free hours of work in the libraries plus 50 hours of work on a project I'm doing for my practicum (and I will have these hours finished by the end of October). I have my training as a clerk but I haven't really been able to pick up too many shifts just yet. And I'm working my regular job putting books away at the library. Plus kids and house and Mr. Mark all keep me more than busy.
And about the boyfriend, yes, still JUST boyfriend (I'm not even going to touch that subject just yet with a ten foot pole because I'm quite sore on the topic....)things are good (overall) but there's always something going on at the great Autozone that in some way or another causes major stress in my personal life. He's also taking a bunch of classes at Tri-High and so Monday-Thursday as soon as he gets out of work he goes straight to school. He might have a semi-decent schedule but he's always doing something.
The girls are great. I should probably post sosme new pictures but I really haven't had much spare time to even sort through the pictures, let alone take them or get them off of the camera. But they are great.
Mal is walking and talking and she's really just my little baby chubbalove. She's not as much of a chunky monkey as she was before, she's really thinning out and she LOVES to read and it's so funny how different she is than Marilyn. She's really a chill little kid.
Marilyn is every bit a three year old as she could be. She's got the communication ability and her vocabulary has clarified and expanded by leaps and bounds over the past few months. I love the little stories that she tells me and she's so silly. She's such a girly-girl (and she will definitely tell you that). She's big into her princess dresses and her babies (and carrying multiple bags of them with her everytime we have to go anywhere....ESPECIALLY it seems when I'm already running late...) and I have to cajole and threaten her to get her to wear pants. I'm about ready to hide all of the summer dresses because that is ALWAYS her first choice of what-to-wear.
Anyhow, everything is just kind of crazy and kind of really busy. I've employed some new strategies and tactics into my life and it's really too soon to say how it is panning out. For example, I've completely stopped washing dishes. Why? Well for a number of reasons.
1. I don't have the time to tackle them every 4 days because then it takes an hour plus and usually I have Mallory clinging to my legs and screaming at me the whole time.
2. I have better/more important things to do rather than wash my dishes.
3. I hate washing dishes.
4. Mark should wash them because he doesn't do anything else around the house and I'm not a &*(&*(#$%#%#$%#$$%# housekeeper/slave.
5. I do everything else around the house that is important
6. I just don't care.
7. It really really irritates Mark.
So yeah, I wish I could say I had all sorts of other things that I was trying out but I don't know, this one is kind of backfiring on me depending on Mr. Moody's 'tude. For example, the other day I got to hear ALL ABOUT how I do absolutely nothing around the house and now all of a sudden (you know, because he washes dishes all of once or twice a week) he does EVERYTHING. Which is completely untrue because our house might not ever be clean, but when the cleaning happens (and the laundry and the vacumming and everything else...) it is always I who is the initiator and implementer. Not him. His only responsibilities entail washing the dishes and taking out the trash once a week, which he usually half-asses and leaves a bunch of junk and all of the recylables in the hallway. AWESOME.
But I could bitch and complain about him all day, he's my Mr. Man. But as much as he irritates me he does such sweet things. But I'll save that for a day when I'm feeling more amorous on the subject.
Anyhow, it's been all great finally writing something that wasn't just a Facebook status update or a school assignment but I really need to devote all available free time right now back to what is most important...school work... Also, I feel a nasty headache coming on and if it gets worse I don't want to have to work.
Peace out yo,
More soon.....
