I realize that I have not posted anything new in over three weeks.
I also realize that being now Black Friday many people are out there standing in line waiting for good deals to a happen.
I began a post earlier today which turned into one of the most generic sounding posts I have ever written regarding all of the things which I am thankful for. All of those things are true, it just happens to be that when those things are in written form, they seem kind of cheesey. However, they are all definitely true.
I want to be all hip and write some cool list of the other things that I am genuinely thankful for, but it is already super late and Marilyn and I are playing with the humans and the horses on the couch. Mallory fell asleep awhile ago so now it is just me and my big girl hanging out super late.
She just brought to me the secret stash of cookies which Grandma brought over (of which I did whisper the secret location of said cookies). 4 is a really fun age....sometimes. Usually though. She says some very insightful things to me which get me to thinking more often than not.
For example, right now she is trying to offer me more cookies, of which I told her no, it is too late, so she told me that either she is going to throw them in the garbage or hide them under the couch.
Hide them under the couch? I do not understand this child of mine. Perhaps that is even more of the magic.
As far as everything else goes, long story short, they are closing my case next month (at least that is how it is looking). He has been able to see the girls without us having to go through that center any longer. The girls have been gone almost every weekend since that determination was made. I have been a busy bee (as usual) applying to a new school, working, getting caught up with life, and dealing with the drama as it comes. House drama, sister drama, life drama. You know, how it does.
Here is me and my little lady while she is morphing into a cookie monster.
Happy Thanksgiving/Black Friday. These girls are going to be getting our sleep on instead of our shop on.
And we are totally getting a piano.
