Preface to blog: I know, I've been busy. I made another blog, so I'm cheating on this blog with another blog and atleast two other websites. I'm sorry, that's how it goes. I can't help it. This is all personally and stuff and the others aren't. So you know, back of the burner? Best for middle of the night when I'm all super caffeinated and about to get ready to pass out. Yep. That's this.
My child is a leader. Or is beginning to show the signs that she is going to become one. I am not surprised. She comes from two people who like to be "assertive" and bossy. It sometime creeps me out how many of my characteristics and his are manifested in our child. Duh. I mean, she's a weird little combination of us both, obviously, so she gets the best of the best and the worst and then the middle of the road stuff.
How did I discover this?
Well, besides Mallory copying every single thing that Marilyn does (really cute sometimes too because she is like 45 seconds behind Marilyn and she will sometimes do and say everything- to her developmental benefit as well) I discovered that my child is the band leader. How so? Well, because I know it was her that instigated the entire group of children at McDonald's to take (sneak and hide away I might add....) cups of ice from the cups of water and soda that were all gone. In fact, they tag teamed the cups of water, suspiciously in retrospect, possibly to drain all liquid so that they could access the ice cubes with ease. They then took the ice cubes up into the play tubes and were doing who knows what with them, but they then rushed down to get napkins. I called her out on it as soon as I caught on and she played coy with me, but I know it was her. Oh my child. I also found out because another one of the children who was older than Marilyn was complaining about getting ice thrown at her. They were also careful and did not do it in front of the parents.
I also caught Marilyn and another little girl throwing our Princess baby dolls through the slots at the top of the stairway tower down to the floor. Instigated again, mostly by Marilyn.
I just hope she doesn't turn into that child who convinces the other kids to put rocks in snowballs.
I don't think she would, because I really make the effort to model sweet and moral behavior, and explain things out to her. She understands, and she is a sweet little girl. Truly. She is very cognizant and capable. I am always astounded. I am looking into schools right now while I wait to find a place to move.
So that's that.
Also, Toys R Us FINALLY had the Leappads in stock when I stopped in at the store. FINALLY. So now we have two and they each have their own (so hopefully they won't fight over them, so long as they each get their own special games but also games that they both have.) *Sigh* And it's going to be like this for a long time, and it still goes on with my sisters, and with my parents and their siblings. Sibling rivalry. I hope my girls will love each other forever though, because it is just them?
