The best present is your memory. It requires no maintenance.
It is unsullied by the day-to-day, the drudgery of time and of all things
common place. The essence of you is such a rarity in the reality of the moment
of now, that your memory is a small token in a large collection. It shines,
unsullied by wear, and it excels at catching my attention and pulling me back
into the annexes of time, but love is a seed that cannot be kept preserved
small throughout time. It is something that by its only true nature it grows,
once sprouted. If there is no action through the day to day to exterminate or
extinguish, over time it will creep up, the untended ivy, until perusing
through a forgotten hallway the full blossom of growth captures attention with
intensity forgotten. All of you is preserved, impeccably within, mosquito in
resin, you shine. I think we made the right call, on a pronged pathway
intersection. A point well made can be a point revisited. Time well spent is
never spent in waste. Thank you for the gift of your time. Thank you for your
memory.
