I'm home alone

I'm home alone in my house.

Gosh.

It feels like this never happens.

Not anymore.

Nope.

I spend time alone at THE OTHER house.

Of course.

There's lots of work to be done.

SO MUCH MOVING AND PACKING TO DO

Which is really what I should be up to

before I gather my children up from school....

I could have painted today

I have some painting

I could have done

today, if I wanted to.

But I didn't.

I didn't want to.

I was up so early again today.

Too early, I feel.

But that's how it rolls sometimes,

and so I was up and I made everyone breakfast and had everyone's lunch ready to go and everything was ready and set just so

and I was stupid and drank green tea for breakfast which ALWAYS, (I repeat ALWAYS) makes me sick, no matter what, which is why I normally drink ginger or peppermint or even chamomile but NEVER green tea before the afternoon. But I did today. So whilst I was being productive and responsible and sorting things out with a utility company, I got that horrible body hotness, the kind where you know it is coming, and I had to mute the phone so I could wretch my stomach contents worth of fucking green tea and ORANGE JUICE (wake up ACID JUICES!) into the overfilled kitchen garbage can on top of the cupcake box I decorated with my name.

It gave me a moment to think and to realize that this would be the horrible reality of a pregnancy. Everyday. For most of the day. For weeks.

Good riddance to that.

But I was fine once the green tea was out.

This has happened to me before.

I should have known better. You know.

What else is new?

Here are some pictures of the work I have been up to. I don't post them anywhere else, because why should I? But here they are, all laid out nice and organized. Nothing is totally totally done. Almost but not quite. Isn't that the name of the game, always? Yes. Indeed.

The progression of the downstairs (kitchen/dining room)

Kitchen prepped for flooring and ready for the delivery of the new fridge and stove! All of the walls were this awful light yellow color.

Some of the new flooring installed and the new oven has arrived! Also see the beginning of the reign of the blue!

I was entertaining myself on Sunday morning painting the walls :)

Here you can see a peek into the kitchen and a blurry last look at my scribbles all over the wall (which is now GREEN!). Also new fridge and the pieces for the cabinet thingie I'm going to build!
The progression of the yellow room (small bedroom I'm going to use and then girl can have)
Room is the color of sunshine. Also has THE BEST view of the sky and the planes and the sunset and everything. SO MUCH SUNSHINE IN ONE PLACE!
carpet is coming out!
Carpet is out! So much muck to scrub off the floor in this room! Look at my trim!

White trim, painted doors & closet o' stuff

The progression of the girls' room (which is now filling up with all of the TOYS we have moved to the new house! Tonight I'm hoping to shift over some bookshelves and smaller furniture!)
Primered up the walls in this room like totally. The blue carpet gives the room this weird aqua glow.

The girls decided 'purple' and I got to pick the actual color! My sister commented how the shade is basically a variant of the color of my bedroom as a teenager, and the color used can most appropriately be described as 'Grimace'. The walls are beautiful!

Double Closets in the girls' rooms. Took the doors off one and replaced with an easier sliding curtain. Can we say new handles?!!!

Now that the awful blue carpet is GONE, this room feels warm and super bright and inviting. Can't wait to get the bunk beds in!

The Mural Wall in the girls' room will be filled in and painted to M1's specifications and drawings

The progression of his office
Painted the ceiling and primered up the lower level of the walls!

ORANGE!!!!

Getting ready for the final coats! Chair rail is cut and installed and painted! Room still needs touching up and finishing but is next on the list and 2nd last in the upstairs!!!!

The beginning of the morphing of the downstairs basement

Sizing out the area where the shower and sink and washer and dryer are going to go (can you see my fabulous master suite basement bathroom?!)

HEYYY toilet. I have so much floor to rip up. I have to finish painting and getting the paint all over the tiles that I am then going to rip up. Like, this weekend.

And then here is my upstairs bathroom!!!!!
Oh yeah, my husband ripped it all out. And I've been tub shopping.

So that's what's up.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah

How I do :)
